Greetings!! Coming out of hibernation with a great start to the New Year, I am thrilled to be featured in Stag & Crow magazine’s inaugural issue! It’s kinda wild to see my name on the cover there alongside Brom, who is easily one of my favorite contemporary artists. The entire lineup looks great and I’m really happy to be included. The feature will include both my artwork and some modeling/photography.

Halloween Queen: Illustrated Style Feature in Auxiliary Magazine Fall 2021
I had the pleasure of illustrating another fashion style feature for Auxiliary Magazine, this time with a “Halloween Queen” theme for the Fall 2021 issue. I think this may be my favorite of these features that I’ve illustrated so far!
For my model inspirations I chose the beautifuly vampiric Dani Divine and couldn’t resist referencing one of my modeling images for the other figure. The orange hair seemed very fitting for the theme!
The Sexy Times issue 5
I’m one of the featured artists in the new issue of The Sexy Times, a newsprint publication of queer erotic art published by Cash Machine LA.
In the words of curator Jeanne Heo, The Sexy Times is a zine-project that aims to share creative expressions of eroticism from marginalized communities, while also critiquing the racist bias of Instagram's algorithm and shadowbanning of sex workers and non-heteronormativity.
You can read a little more info and purchase the issue HERE (please note: By ordering you are confirming you are 18+).
Also featuring some awesome work by:

Temple of Medusa
I am contributing to the upcoming “Temple of Medusa” art book published by Century Guild and thought I’d share a sneak preview of what is to come!
They asked the question “In contrast to the many renderings of Medusa’s defeat that have been created throughout art history, what would a visual testament to Medusa’s victory look like? If Medusa’s temple were built today, what works of art would adorn it?”
The question spoke to me immediately and rekindled in my mind a dormant series I began a few years ago, where I planned to retell Greek myths (in particular the absurd number involving r*pe) with the women defeating their aggressors.
For Medusa, I had in mind visuals of Judith beheading Holofernes and I knew that I wanted to create a powerful, statuesque Medusa who stands defiantly having defeated her would-be murderer.
Yes the helmet is absolutely a tribute to the original Clash of the Titans film produced by Ray Harryhaussen, which was my first introduction to Medusa as a very small child (and I remember even then before I knew her full backstory, I wished she would defeat Perseus. ha).
Vamp Resort: Illustrated Style Feature in Auxiliary Magazine Summer 2021
I illustrated the style feature for the latest Summer 2021 issue of Auxiliary Magazine. The theme was “Vamp Resort”. I went with a gothic pinup style, with models Masuimi Max and Stefania Ferrario as inspiration for the figures.
More info on this issue and physical/digital purchase options HERE :)
Lunar Fae: illustrated style feature in Auxiliary Magazine Spring 2021
I did a few illustrations for a double page fashion/style feature in the Spring 2021 issue of Auxiliary Magazine that was just released this week. I also got featured in the Contributor Spotlight section which was a lovely surprise!
I went with a simpler, more graphic drawing style for these to focus on capturing the “Lunar Fae” themed clothing and accessories. Thanks once again to Jennifer Link at Auxiliary for giving me free reign and trusting me with drawing things that are a little different to my personal artwork. Though there are definitely some crossover elements!

Ending this year on a more positive note, I have a 6 page interview/feature in the Winter 2020 issue of Auxiliary Magazine! Though it’s more of a “modeling news” being that it’s accompanied by a fashion editorial I modeled for rather than any illustrations, I wanted to post about it here too as they did ask several questions focused on my artwork and creative influences and I thought it might be of interest! You can find more information and copies available to purchase HERE :)
I wrote a more in-depth blog post about it on my modeling website HERE, which includes my intention to go back to writing longer form blog posts about my work and a little glimpse into my life too. This site will be art-focused with peeks at works-in-progress and my work process. I’ve opened comments on both blogs and also added an RSS feed. If you’re out there and reading I’d love to hear from you!
Apparition: Auxiliary Magazine illustrated fashion editorial
Has it really been 6 months since my last update? This has been a strange and largely unproductive year and I have been taking a long break from making art but I had to come out of my hiatus on posting as I realized I hadn’t shared this last thing I worked on. Auxiliary Magazine contacted me back at the very beginning of the pandemic to ask if I’d be interested in creating something for an illustrated fashion editorial as in-person photoshoots had not been possible and of course I was delighted at the opportunity to work with them in my capacity as an artist.
They happen to be one of my favorite indie publications and I have been featured several times as a model in previous issues, including the cover of April/May 2012 and more recently in one of my favorite editorials ever - “Alien Botany” in the Spring 2016 issue - for artist and designer Zoetica Ebb (who also happens to be the cover model of this new issue!).
It was a new challenge for me as I’ve never drawn anything that could be considered a fashion illustration and there was also a pretty quick turnaround time required but it was a great learning experience and I’m quite happy with the results. I got a print copy of the magazine recently and it looks even better in print!
Special shout out to Razor Candi, who provided much inspiration for the model I drew. I had recently joined her Patreon and had a lot of sketches based on her that I ended up adapting for the illustrations. Thanks also to Jennifer Link for help with the mood/board and styling (and for trusting me to do something I’ve never done before!).
You can get a copy of the new issue and see the full editorial HERE :)
American Gothic: Pattern Magazine interview
I have little interview in the new issue of Pattern Magazine (The Identity Issue) as part of the “American Gothic“ editorial.

Featured Artist in Sugared Kiss #5
I’m a featured artist with 8 pages of my work in the new issue of Sugared Kiss Magazine! :)
Cover artist & feature for Non-Compliant Quarterly issue 1
I’m really excited to have been chosen as the cover artist for the inaugural issue of Non-Compliant Quarterly, a new publication based in Australia “Existing at the intersection of culture, art, activism & thought leadership”. I also have a few pages featuring my work inside. The topic of the first issue is Censorship; something which I feel very strongly about as I’m sure many artists do! I’m very much looking forward also to future issues that are planning to focus on important topics such as racism, ableism and childhood trauma amongst others.
From their website: “We believe that cultural producers have an important role in our collective humanity- to document, to challenge, to create a beautiful reflection and to critique our culture.”
They are also committed to sharing the profit between all contributors, which is a welcome change in an industry that often expects that artists contribute work for free (or “exposure”) and which I think is particularly conscientious for a new and independent publication that by it’s very nature is going to have extra hurdles when it comes to promotion and advertising itself.
You can read more about the magazine and it’s mission statement and purchase a copy (digital &/or print) on their website HERE.
They also have a Patreon page where you can purchase copies and help support production costs as well as be part of a community of like-minded individuals!
Interview with Beautiful Bizarre magazine online
I have a new interview on the Beautiful Bizarre magazine blog! The last time I was interviewed by them was 2014 (you can read the old interview here). I think we’ve both grown a lot since then, it was really nice to talk to them again :)
